Fishing in Lake Roto: ira regulation ultra vires

AUCKLAND, This Day. In a reserved deeision given to-day, Mr Orr Walker, S.M., dismissed information against eight Auckland anglers. The informations were that, by fishing for trout in Lake Rotoaira, in the Taupo distriet, they infringed the regulations for the reservation of fishing in that lake and the special benefit conferred on members of the NgatiTuwbaretoa tribe. The regulation was declared ultra vires and void.
