REVUE COMPANY ROBBED

— Press Association.)

Thefts from Wellington Theatre

(By Telejrrank-

WELLINGTON, This Day. Larrikins are believed to have been responsible for thefts that resulted in nearly every* member of the Frank Neil Revue Company losing sma,ll arfciclea of valae on Thursday night from their dressing rooms at the New Opera House, Wellington, The thefts were not discovered till yesterday when members of the company returned to their dressing rooms to find that their trunks had been riflecl with a thoroughness that suggested the iutruders had had no need to hurry their task. Apart from the comedians every player had some theft to report. The articles stolen- range from ties, of which one member had '50 taken from his trunk, to money. Mr Colleano, the Australian tight-rope walker, who lost £15, and Miss Margaret Neale, the harpist, whose wristlet watch was tfiken, were the heaviest losers. Other articles missing include many pieces of personal jewellery and several pots of byilliantine. In every dressing room brilliantine tempted the intruders, and it is on this feature of the case, as well as the fact that the thieves had made themselves ill by drinking half a bottle of whisky, that Mr MacDonald, the manager of the company, bases his assumption that irresponsible youths were the culprits.
