Police AHegation Against a Husband ATTEMPTED-MURDER CHARGE

RAETIHI, This Day. . At Ihe Police Court at Raetihi on Thursday afternoon Kenneth St. Albans Hodgson was charged before justices with the attempted murder of Rheta I.ouise Hodgson on August 25 at Raetihi. The aecused was remanded to Wanganui, where he will appear on Monday. The charge is the sequel to a domestic quarrel which occurred at their flat in Seddon street, when Hodgson is alleged to have threatened his wife with a double-barrelled shotgun. The police allege that the accused .discharged the weapon, l'ortunately without inflicting injury. Detective Bayliss, of Wanganui, who is in charge of tlie case, received a lengtliy statement from Mrs Hodgson last night.
