Ward, a prominent golfer, receiving a telephone message irom a second-hand dealer in Colombo street that sbe bad a bag of clubs answeriug tbe description of tbe set wb'fb was removed. Mr. Ward investigated, linding tbat tbey were tbe lost clubs. Mr. Ward bad acquired a new sct of WGoden club.i and had playcd only onc round with them before they disappeared.
