WANGANUI, Last Night. The North Island Motor Union conference opened this morning. The delegates were accorded a civic welcome by the Mayor, Mr W. J. Rogera. Dr. E. E. Porritt is presiding in the absence of the president, Mr O 'Callaglian, who is in Australia.
