A representative meeting of Southland dairy factory directors passed the following resolution, whieh has been sent to the Minister: — -"We demand a guaranteed price of not less than. 1/6 per pound butterfat, this being the absolute minimum neeessary to meet the increased costs with which tlie induslry is being loaded and to enable the dairy farmer to maintain areasoiiable standard Of living and pav eompetitive Wag6s with gtie.r iadustries.'i % ,
