Hawke's Bay competitors continue to be highly successful at tlie Man awatu competitions at Palmerston North yesterday. Douglas Carlyle, Dannevirke won -bolli tho test rocitations, boys under 16 years, and tho humorous recitation, 12 to 16 years. Miss Agnes Upton, Hastings, was first for character recital, 12 to 17 years, with Miss "Valerie McCombe, HastUigs, seeond. Miss Ivena Pot-han, Hastings was first for charactcr story dancc, 14 years aud over. and third for character recital, 12 to 37 years. Miss Joy fliear, Hastings, was third for charactor rlanee, 8 to 10 years. Miss Yida Hayes, Hastings, was seeond for character story dance, .14 years and over.. Miss Joyco Thompson, Napier, was first aud Miss Flora Greeniees, Napier, third equal for Irish jig, under 10 years. and Miss Greenlees was also third for sword dance, under 30 years. Miss' Pat Over wa® first for reel O'Tulloch, under 17 years, and highland fiing, 13 to 17 years.
