Hastings, the world-renowiied Don Cossack Choir, supported by several wonderful Russian dancers, the whole -entertainment being described by critics elsewhere as the most enjoyable and most thrilling which has yet been presented to New Zealand audiences. A" feature of the entertainment," is the wonderful Russian dancing performed by incomparable dancers, whose brilliant and dynamie artistry aroused the audience to a state of hysterical enthusiasm. The .celebrated Don Cossack Choir'has left a trail of "succ'ess'in every country it has visited, calling forth the highest praise for its. magnificently blended voices, its sympathetic folk singing,. and its. brilliant solo work. Under the direction of M. Nicholas Kostrukoff, the conductor,- the .choir has built up a great repertoire ^pf songs, including old Cossack melodies, legends of follt lore, battle songs, and beautiful lullabies. The musieal sense of these thirty singers isfso keen, and the precision of their choir singing so clev'er, that tlioy can produce the most delicate tone colours with as much ease as they obtain their battle" song effects. In ad.dition to their brilliant singing, the Don Cossack Choir will give an exposition of Cossack dnacing that will" add to their astonihing artistic repertoire. The box plans are at Fail's.
