Bunnythorpe Farmer Killed CAR'S 25-FOOT DIVE

PALMERSTON N., Last Night. A Bunnythorpe farmer, Jobu Thomas, drove liis car through tlxe approach to tlie Mangaone Streat bridge, on Milson' s line, Palmerston North, this evexxing, to somersault to death in the bed of the stream 25 feet below. Why tlie car should liave lei't the road was hard to understand, as tlie highway is straiglit for a mile on each side of tlie bridge. When diseovered, the car lay on its side in two feet of water, Mr Thomas having been killed outright. Possibly he sutfored a bi'oken xxeoK. Tlie deceased was an elderly man with a growxr-up family of three sons and four daugliters. Hia widow also survives him.
