WAR-RISK RESTRICTIONS
MED1TERRANEAN AND CHINA (Eeceived 2'6, 12.30 p.m.) BUGBY, Aug. 22. Marine companies and Lloyds underwriters have given 48 hours' notice of the cancelling of all permanent contracts which include war-rislts 'on voyages to, from or via China. When this notiee has expired the shore rislc at Chinese ports will be totally excluded, way-risks being covered only while the cargo is on board ocean steamers. Simultaneously, the rates have been raised in View of recent events in the Mediterranean for yoyages through the Ctraits of Gibraltar and the Mediterranean, while speeial high Tates of preminm have been agreed for oil tanlcers on such voyages. These high rates are a direct resul,t of the rccent attacks on oil tankers,
