" GISBORNE, This Day. On ^ccount of the wide discrepancy in the placings between judging on the hooks in New Zealand and in England, and the conelusioivs to be drawn froni these differences, the Meat Board should thorouglily investigate reasons and remedies for them. This was the text of a resolution moved by Mr J. C. Graham at a meeting of the Poverty Bay branch of the New Zealand Sheepowners' Federation yesterday regarding show competitione in frozen-meat products. * Mr Graham then quoted particulars showing the discrepancies between the judging in New Zealand and in England, both ip export lambs and in bacpu carcases. A carcase placed first in New Zealand, he said, was invariably considered poor qqality at Homo. "The quality should be what our' customers like best," coinmented Mr Graham. Other members were in agreement with Mr Graham and stated that it was up to the Meat Board to do something about it. It was decided to forward the resolm tion to the Meat Board. I
