What is regarded as a record for the number of field goals kicked by one player in a Rugby 'niatclx in Hawke's Bay, if not ixx New Zealand, "was made at McLean ' Park in the inter-school match between Palmerston North and Napier Boys' High Schools first fil'teens. Beard, the visitors' captain, placed four field goals, bringing victory to his team by 19 points to 3.
