KITCHEN GIFT TEA FOR BRIDE-TO-BE
Miss Alix Rochfort and Miss Jean Brodie, who are to be two of the six bridesmaids who will attend Miss Jean Wilson at her wedding next week, were the hostesses at a jolly gift party given in honour of tho bride-to-be. Tho party was held at Miss Alix Rochfort's home, Dulce street, Hastings, where the drawing-room was gay with huge howls of lovely pink blossom. The guests were received by the hostesses and Mrs. Guy Rochfort and Mrs. A. M. Brodie. The guest of honour looked very smart in a spring green tailored costume worn with jumper and a brown hat. Miss Alix Rochfort woro a navy flowered froclc, tlie ncck outlined with a ldlted frill which continued down the corsago in front. Miss Jean Brodie woro a suifc of l'awny heckcd woollen matelasse with a wido leather helt. Much morriment was caused hy a question coinpetition, in wliich the winner was Miss Diana Wilson. After a inost tempting afternoon tea, the guest of honour opened her parcels, a clothes basket being filled with useful gifts for her kitclien And pantry. She later thanked the guests for their gifts.
