Elsthorpe Meeting

The members of the Elsthorpe Womeii's Institute held their monthly meeting on Thursday, Mrs O. Williatns presided over a fair attendance of members. The Golden Thread • talk for the month was given by Mrs Lessette, who spoke on Spain, and was listened to with great interest. Mrs Campbell, of Havelock North, gave a very interesting play-reading on the life Ot Florence Nightingale. Both ladies were accorded a hearty vote Ot thanks for their interesting talks. The Competitions for the afternoon resulted as follows ; — Best results from, two skeitts of New Zealand wool, Mrs Ghelson 1 and 2, Mis« IL l.'riost 3, Miss J.- Grant 4. Best bloom, Mrs W. M'at son jun. 1, Mrs Dillon and Mrs C. 'Williams 2, Mrs Tilfen aiiJ , Miss I'etmaxn 3.
