WAGE INCREASES
British Railwaymen EUGBY, Aug. 1-7. Fullowing last wcek's -anuouncemcnt of tho railway staff national tribunal's decisiou, by which 500,000 railway workers were awarded a wage increase estimatcd to cost about £2.900,000 'per annum, au award has bceu made on the claim of the railway saopmen. The basic rates are to be increased by ls weekly and 6d weekly for different grades and annual leave with pay Will be given all employoes in railway work§hops after 12 months ' continuous ; coflmwaoiim; ift 103S. .
