Famous Explorers to Join Search (Received IS, 22.30 p.m.) TORONTO, Aug. 17. The famous Arctic cxplorer Vilhalmur Stefansson has offiered to assist iu tlie search for tho Soviet plaue piloted by Sigismund Leveuesky, tho Sovict Ace, and which left Moscow in a-non-stop flight across the North Pole to Alaska, and is believed to have deseened in the ice in the viciuity of the Pole. -• Stefansson had a conference to-day with the Soviet Emhassy. Mr. Herbert Hollick-Kenyon and Sir Hubert Wilkins too are lioppiug off for the Arctic in search of the Russiaus.
