Will of Sir James Barrie (Received 18, 10.40 a.m.) LONDON, Aug. 17. The cavest lodged by Mr William Winter against the will of the late Sir James Barrie has been withdrawn. The London Daily Mail stated on July 24 thafc it was understood Mr William Winter, British chcss champion and nephew of Ihe lato Sir James Barrie, had eutered a caveafc concerning Sir. James 's will, through his solicitors. The will, $hich was osocuted four days before Sir James Barrie died, disposes of his estate of £250,000. Mr Winter is among the beneliciaries. Lady Cynthia Asquith, at one time Sir James Barrie 's secretary, was bequeathed £30,000, and she also participates iu the residue of the estate.
