Mangaoropa Meeting

The monthly meeting of the Mangaorapa Women's Institute was held' on August 13, Mrs. Connell presiding in the absence of Mrs. Hope>. After the business was over Mr. C. Hill read a W.E.A. lecture on psychology entitled "Mental Hygiene of the Child," prepared by Professor W. H. Gould. - This was a very interesting lecture and Mr Hill was heartily thanked for reading it to the members. The two competitions for the day • were kindly judged by Mrs. J. O 'Reilly and Mrs. Sherston and resulted as foliows: — Best 11b. butter, Mrs. Hogg 1, Mrs, Redward 2. Best cusion: Mrs. Hogg 1 and 2. An amusing competition was conducted by Miss Joan Redward. This was won by Mrs. J. D. Davidson. A dainty afternoon tea was served by the two hostesses, Mrs. Basil White and. Miss Hargarsfc Bayidsong .
