GIFT PARTY GIVEN FOR BRIDE-TO-BE

' % A jollv gift party was given by Mr and Mrs Jack Caves, at their home in Queen street, Hastings, ' last week in honour of Miss Dorothy ShepaTd, whnse marriage to Mr Colin Brimer takes plaee this week. Mrs Caves, who Teeeived the gnests, wore a frock of ice-blue matt erepe. The guest of honour wore a pretty sea green taffeta tunie frock with Iarge puffer sleeves and high neckline. She carried a posy of violets and carnhtions, which was pr'esented by thei hostess. During the evening numerous games and competitions /were enjoyed. and after a delicious supper the ' parcels were opened au,q a range of very useful gifts for the pantry were displayed. Mr Brimer, on behalf of his flance, thanked everyone for their mueh appreciated gifts.

The evening was brought to a closc with the singing of "For They Are Jolly Good Fellows" and "Auld Laug Syne. " The invited guests were: — Misses M. Brimer, A. Brimer, E. Carswell, A. Matthews, E.
