Davis Family Wins Three Titles E. BLIGH TAKES TWO Many exeellent fights wero staged at the Hawke's Bay provincial amatetir boxing championships tournament hcld in tho Premicr Hall, Hastings, last evening under the aegis of the Hawlfe's Bay Boxing Association. The b;g crowd was treated to plcnty of excitemont, for what the compctitors lacked in science and skill they mado up for in eagernesg to mix things frceIy and wHHngly. The most successful individual competitpr was E. Bligh, of Hastings, wlio fcllected two titles, middle and lightheavy. Tho Davis family was in the boom, all three Tepresentatives scoring a win. Tho eldest of the trio, Jack Davis, sebin'ed his first win iu three meetings against Arnie Kitt, and dcprived tho lalter of his title. Ccntral Hawkc's Bay and Wairoa wojo repicscntcd, but the iormer failed to secure a .titlo. Wairoa, howevet, - wero successful in oue division, the hcavywcight, Jim Davis being too hcavy and too tall for Bligh. The •northern end of the province was xeprcsented by a Chinese lad, Lee Wong, wlio >providcd the crowd with somo of the best entertainment of the evening.
