HOSPITAL STATISTICS
At the end of July there were 53 patients in the Hastings Memorial Hos- 1 pital and 177 at the Napier Publie Hospital, inereases on the numbers at ' the end of the previous month of two and six respectively, according to the monthly report of the medical super- j intendent, Dr. J. J. Foley, to the meet- j ing of the Hawke's Bay Hospital Board | in Napier this afternoon. There were | 16 deaths in the two institutions dur- j ing the month. I Nineteen major and 45 minor opera- j Lions were peri'ormed during the month J at Hastings and 25 major and 88 minor I operations at Napier. In the out*- j patients' department at Hastings 130 j patients made 503 visits, and fees to- 1 talling £15 15/- wero collected; at ] Napier, 127 patients made 709 visits, j and £16 5/2. was collected in fees.
