ISOLATION BLOCK
Re-named The Robjohns Ward The new isolation ward at the Napier • Hospital is to be re-riamed the Robjohns Ward to perpetuate the memory of a generous donor to the hospital several years ago. This decision ' was made by the Hawke's Bay Hospital Board yesterday when it considered a suggestion by the medical superintendentf Dr. J. J. c Foley _ that" the two new wards in the block be named the Leahy Ward and the Gilray Ward. In moving that the block be renamed the Robjohns Ward, Mr C. O. Morse pointed out that several . years ago the Robjohns family made h generous donation which was the nucleus to establish a ward which was subsequently named the Robjohns Ward. This ward stood on the site of the new block and was wrecked by the earthquake. lf the board departed from the procedure that had been adopted, the incentive for generous- • minded people to make donations might be prejudiced. Mr Morse added that the board wanted to b© careful to retain the memory of the origiual donor in some way. On the motion of Mr, Morse the ; decision to re-name the block the Robjohns Ward was agreed to. , ■ i
