FRENCH STEAMER ATTACKED
(Received 16, 8.45 a.m.) LONDON, Aug. 15. An unknown Bubmarine tried to torpedo the French steamer Parame off Bizerta. The crews of French steam^rs at Tunis met and demanded protection* The Daily Telegraph's Paris correspondent says that two bombers from Bizerta naval base are proteetiag French sliipping in the Western Mediterranean, each armed with four doubl® tiring machine guns capable of 1600 sffots a minute and four highi-explosjjr* bombs.
