Kotemaori Group The Augusfc nxeotiug of the Kotemaori Women 's Institute was held in tho hall, Mrs. Harris presiding. The roll call provcd very ijiteresting, being "Paragraphs on native birds." Mrs. McKay's Goiden Tliread wa's a talk on the birds at Capetown Museum. to which tho members listened with great interest. Mrs. Bee reRd a very eulightening account of a blood transfusion, and was accorded a hearty vote of thanks. Competiti,on xesults were: Embroidei*ed cushion cover, Mrs. Foster 1, Miss N. Gavin 2. Eggless ginger nuts, Mrs. L. Jones 1, Mrs. Foster and Mrs. Haliburton 2 (equal). Mrs. J. Parsocs ' was the winjier of the grocery articlcs competition. The usual saies table w;as held. The hostesses for the afternoon wero Mrs. S. Jones and Mrs. C. Bee.
