MORE PARTIES GIVEN FOR MISS JEAN WILSON
Rtill more parties have b'een given during the week in honour of Miss Jean Wilson, of Hastings, wliose marriage to Mr "Rex Budbrook, of Ruatoria, takes place this monfch. Oue of the hosfesses was Mrs W. Campbell Clark, of Hastings, whose little daughter, Rohin, wilT be a flowergirl at tbe wedding, and Mrs Claris; received the guests as they arrivedi, ber frock being of Kenya red matalasse patterned in ivory.The gnest of honour wore a dark brown wool bouche coat trimmed wjth brown squirrel fur and her brown velour bat was worn off the fa-ce in front. After a delicious tea the guest of honour opened her parcels, and as the party was a "tin" tea many useful gifts were received. Among tbe guests present were: — . Miss Qynthia Shield, Miss Mary and Dorotky "Wilson, Mrs Eric Lambe, Mrs Roy Gilbertson, Misses Betty and June .Johnson, Jean Lyons, Margaret Maclean, Kewpie White. Jean Brodie, Mary and Nancy Clark, Ruth Small. Gnests motored out te Eskdale to a party at which the hostesses were Mrs If. C. Clark and the Misses Mary and Nancy Clark, and each took a recipe for Miss Jean Wilson. The afteimoon passed most pleasautlv, and a competition which eaused much amusement was guessing the uames of the people whose photos were pinued on tke wa 11, all prominent people recently before the phblic eye. Tlie winner was Miss Betty JohnBon, who guessed '39 out of 41.
