Cornwall Park Hedges

Sir, — Several letters have appeared in your columns condemning the proposal of the Borough Council Reserves Committee to do away with the hedges on two sides of Cornwall' Park. I havo been waiting to see someone writing to approve, but as so far no one "has done so I woiild like to let them know that there are citizens who heartily agree with the proposal. I would say I consider all fhe hedges round the park should be removed even that between it and Mrs. Tosswiil 's residence. The latter hedge might he replaced by a low stone walh One has only to look at the vast improvement effected in the^ little Queen street reserve to realise that we have a Maybr, a reserves committee and superintendent with vision. — Yours, etc., LET THE LIGHT IN. Hastings, Aug. 12, 1937. . . • •
