Mr George Gray, who is in charge of the industrial work 8bf the Now Zealand Presbyterian Church in India, with headquarters in the Ppnjab, is visiting New Zealand on furlough. Mr Rex Aitken^ of the laboratory staff of the New Plymouth Public Hospital, has been appointod to the position of laboratory assistant at the Palmerston North Public Hospital. Dr. W. D. FitzGerald was yesterday reappointed representative of the Automobile Association (Hawke's Bay), on the executive council of the New Zealand Motor Unibn^ Mr H. C. McQueen, leeturer in education at Auckland University College, will leave shortly to take up the duti«i* of research assistant under the New Zealand Council for Educational Research. Mr F. Hall-Jones, of Invercargill, district governor of Rotary in New Zealand, is due back in New Zealand this montii. Mr Hall-Jones has been attonding the world conference of Rotary at Nice. The Prime Minister, tho Rt. Hon. M. J. Savage, will leave Wellington by the Limited express to-morrow night to meet tho Minister of Finance and Marketing, tl^e Hon. W. Nash, on his arrival at Auckland the following day. Mr Lewis de Gielgud, Under-Secre-tary-General to the League of Red Cross Societies, which has its headquarters in Paris, will amve in New Zealand on September 20 and will spend a month touring the Dominion and giving lectures on the work of the Red Cross. His visit will be made at the conclusion of a tour which ineludes Ohina, Japan and Australia.
