NAPIER PLUNKET SOCIETY HOLDS MONTHLY MEETING

At tbe monthly meeting of tbe Napier brancb -pf the Plunket Society. Mrs. Trevor Geddis presided over Mesdames MacNeece, McClurg, McDougall, Lawry, Fitzgerald, Amyes, Tonkin, .Bryant, Morse, Brown, Ferguson, 'W. J. Geddis, StewaTt and tlie bonoraTy secretary. Apologies fdr absence were received from Mesdames Troutbeek, Gardjner, Brierley, Forsyth. It was ar'ranged to holff a sfldp day on September 10. Anyone able to assist this Tvorthy cause kindly leave goods at the Plunket rooms. Produce, cakes and flowers will be welcomed. - Mesdames Tonkin and McClurg were appointed visitiilg committee for the month. • The general report read: — No. of cases on list, 972; .visits to homes, 269; visits to office, adults 536, babies and C.C. 434, total 970; new cases for the month, 15; a4vice over telephone, 121; letters written, 14; letters re--eived, nine; total -new cases for town and country, 23; total visits for town and country, 418. ■ The fo(lowing districts have been visited: — Greenmeadows, seven times; Taradale* six times,-. Waiohiki, five times; Meeanee and Riverbend road, four times; Awatoto -and Bay View, three times; Korokipo, Richmond Block and Westshore, . twice; Puketapu, Hakowhai, Rissington, . Wharerangi, Eskdale, Tangoio, Arapawanui, Tutira and Putorino, once; number of country visits, 149; new country babies, eight. - - .
