Farmhouse Curry

Take 1 dessertspoonful of curry powder, £ pint of stock or water, Jlb. of c'old meat, 1 dessertspoonful of flour, 1 tablespoonful of apple chutnev, •j, tabiespoonfuls of cream, salt, 1 onion, 1 apple, milk, loz. dripping, lenion juice, boiled rice. Chop the meat, removing all gristle. Melt the dripping and when emoking hot fry onion, flour an.d curry powder together for a few moments stirring all the timo. Add the chopped apple, salt, and stock or water. Stir caretully until the sauce is smooth and boiling, then simmer for half an hour. Add the meat, thin with milk, add chutney, and bring again to the boil. Just.before serving stir in a few drops of lemon juice, then cream, and serve surrounded with boiled lice.
