FAREWELL PARTY FOR KINDERGARTEN EX-PRESIDENT

Members of the couneil of the Hastings Free Kindergarten and others interested met at the home of Miss Helen Ford to bid farewell to Mrs A. Bauchop, who was for several yearq the president of the couneil, and who leaves shortly for England via America to visit ■ her daughter, Mis*» Elizabeth Bauchop, and other relatives and friends. Mrs O. C. Moller had made a beautiful bouquet of lovely pausies which she had grown, and Mrs Joseph Wilson, the president of the couneil, presented this to Mrs Bauchop, the bouquet being very mueh admired by everyone. The winner of the two competitions held during the afternoon were Mrfc Bryant aud Mrs A. Bauchop, and prizes had been presented by Mrs- Wilson (a framed photograph of the oak avenue) and by Mrs L. J. Harvey (a crystal bowl). Among those present were the hostess, Miss Helen Ford; the guest of honour Mrs A. Bauchop; Mrs J. "Wilson, Miss J. Shaw, Mrs H. Lovell-Smith, Mrs E. Paynter, Mrs O. C. Moller, Mrs L. J. Harvey, Mrs F. Johnson, Mrs Gordon Eoach, Mrs Bryant, Mrs Sarah Jones, Mrs A. F. Glenny, Miss Ella Scotter, the kindergarten director and her assistants the Misses Joan Leicester and. Johnson.
