OFFENDING MOTORISTS
76 Charges to be Heard To-morrow ALL-DAY COURT SESSION As a result of an extensive cheek-up some weeks ago, 76 charges against motorists will be keard in tke Hastings Magistrate's Court to-morrow. Ten traffic inspectors will appear in Court to gi%e evidence, and it is expected tkat tke sitting will occupy a full day. For this reason, provision has been made for tke ordinary weekly sitting usually held on Wedncsdays to be keld on 'Thursday tkis week. Tke number of cases to be keard on Thursday will be kept down to a minimum, but tko kearing of two charges of attempted breaking and entering . will probably require some time. • Tke majority of charges to be brouglit to-morrow arise out of a ckeckup on drivers' licenccs and warrants oi' fitness. • Thougk it i.*j, some time since suck a big bateh of informations was laid at tlie one time in Hastings, tke preseul total is by no means a reeord. The record is believed to be heid by Mr A. C. Fawcetty a former traffic inspector in Hastings, who brought a large number of prosesutions after tlio first chcck-up on drivers' iieences wlien j that system was introduced into 'New j Zealand. • i
