Meeting of Committee The usual monthly meeting of the Taradale and distriet library committee was held last evening, Mr. T. McDonald presiding over Mrs. Gartley, Miss Matheson, Messrs. W. Jarvis, E. Brown, J. Wilkinson, E. Willis, J. 1 Wiseman, J. B. Wainscott, A. Blair, C. H. Williams and J. Williamson (secretary). Leave of absence was granted Messrs. H. Harker and T. Sainf. It was resolved to make further inquiries in regard to discs for the shelves. The seeretary pointed out that extra shelving was needed, and the matter was left with the chairman, seeretary and Town Clerlc to report on at next meeting. The chairman reported tliqt 50 books had been purchased since last meeting. A heaty vote of thanks wa? accorded him for tho work he had done in Setting up a supplementary catalogue.
