AUCKLAND, Last Night. A big increase in exports of butter from the Auckland province and a furtber advance in meat exports are shown in. the annual returns of the Auckland Farmers' Freezing Company. The butter shiipments and the turnover in certaiu classes of meat have set new records. As the whole of the Auckland export of dairy produce goea through the coinpany's grading stores, the figures released are a complete index of the export position. Last year, for the first time, the butter handled by tlie company' s organjsation exceeded 100,000 tons. This year the figure has been raised to 108,174 tons— a striking indication of the size and importance of the dairy indUstry of tlie pfovince. The figures for cheese also show an increase, althoUgh they are somewhat below those bf two years ago. Taking cheese and butter to-gether, the total value of dairy produce to the Auckland province for the past season probabb exceeds £13, 000,000.
