LOYALISTS WILL FIGHT TO END AGAINST FASCISTS
(Beceived 6, 8.45 am..) VALENCIA, Aug. 5. "Spain will demand at the next meeting of the League that the Covenant be applied against the aggressors," declared Senor Del Yayo in an interview. He described the recent fighting west of Madrid as the greatest operation of the civil war, and added: "We are no longer fighting General Franco. We are fighting between 80,000 and 100,000 Italians and possibly 10,000 German tochnieians. "The presenee of the Italians and Germans has produced a patriotie reaction among General Franco's troops: I Officers who have come over to us said: 'We started a military rebellion because we disagreed with your policy but when General Franco was made an Italo-German instrument we joined you. Shoot us if you like." Senor Del Vayo reiterated that mediation was impossible. "The Government troops will fight to the bitter end. We are certain of victory."
