'HAWERA, Last Night. After being slightly ahead on. points at the end of the third round of a professfonal boxing contest at Eltham tonight Alan PaTker, of Palmerston North, was knocked out lialf-way through the fourth round by Tui Loveridge, of Tariki. Both boxers weighed in at 9st. 12lb. Loveridge endeavoured in the third round t0 take the fight to close quarters, Parker keeping him off with a straight left well placed to the head. Bolh men slipped to the canvas early in the fourth round and when they rose to their feet Loveridge went after .his opponent and connected with a left to the jaw. He then followed this up with a right and a left in quick succession and the fight was over.
