Bangley, who was employed in one of ihe gold mines at Kakamaga in Kenya, for the efforts he made to save the life of a native worker after an explosion in the mine in Jnuary, 1936. Bangley was firing a seeond round of nine holes when one hole exploded preinaturely and he was blown some distance away. His native assistant, struek by a rock, fell with his t'ace in water.
