Blasting Accident at Herbertrille

WAIPTJKURAIT, Last Night. Severely btirned aud stiffering from shock as the result of an accident that occurred while they were.working with blasting powder on Mr W. H. Speedy 's Woodbank Station, Herbertville, yesterday aftemqon^ two yeung men Woio brought to Waipukurau aud admitted to the public hospital. Thomas Harold, aged 18, of Ti Tree Point, was moro severely injui'ed than his workmato, John Bodley, 22, of Dannevirke. Both meu suffered burns on the face, legs, hands and arme. When the accident occurred they were blasting stumps for lirewood a few chains away from the homestead. Calls for help attracled the attention of oecupants of the house, who saw tho injured men running towards them. The vietims were nnable to give any account of what had actually happened. Though painfill, the injuries are not expccted, to have Seriou-s conseqnences, and the condition of both inen was reported to be slightly better to-day.
