Ashley Clinton Meeting The mopthly meeting of the Ashley Clinton Women 's Institute was held in tho Ashley Clinton Hall, and was presided over by the , • president, Miss Wilson. A nice peggy square. quilt was made by members, and was on view. It was decided to send it to the Otaki child ren's health camp, the one sent last year being much appreciated. Mrs. Britton gave a very interesting travel reading on "Italy," and was accorded a hearty vote of thanks. The roll call was", "Uses for old newspapers,*' and gave many helpful hints. Competitions were for puff pastry and article made from one yard of britway, both being won by Mrs. V. Pedersen. Points were given for best. bloom — a monthly competition. Afternoon tea followqd, and the meeting closed with the singing of the i National Anthem.
