COSY THEATRE
MAN OF THE PEOPLE. Life itself is fche best show. This seems to be demonstrated again with telling effect in the new picture "Man of the People,'5 which screens at the Cosy Theatre to-night. Joseph Calleia, that talented actor who heretofore has been a screen ti'1lain_ now becomes a hero and an intoresting oue in this story bv Frank Do!au, former New York aewspaper man, based doubtlessly on his own observations as a news gatherer. Calleia portrays the familiar role of an honest lawyer pitted against the crooks of a big city. A poor boy elevated by his own Motsfraps as it were, he becomes assi^^ant district attorney and is promptly dis. * sted with the system which whitewashes political favourites.
