Half-Mile Relay at White City (Eeceived 3, 10.0 a.m.) LONDON, Aug. 2. At tEe international athletic meeting at White City the Australian J. Hofs-" fall, mnning 220 yards, assisted the British team to defeat the Ameriean team in the Ealf-mile relay in 1 minute 29.3 seconds. The Ameriean time wae 1 minute 33.2 seconds. The Ameidcan team included the negro Ben Johnson, who previously had won the 100-yards event in 9.8 seconds and the 220 yards in 21.7 seconds.
