Maia Wins at Victoria Park SYDNEY,~Aug. 2. Malh's first outing to-day at the Victoria Park bank holiday races was marked by a narrow victory in the Tollers' Flying Handicap from Buzalong and Silver Standard. Deputy Ruler, who acted as pace-maker, was a creditable fourth. Eoyal Helena in the same event was unplaced. Eed Clover met with interference in the Novice Handicap and ruined her chance. Sir Regent, who was third to Black Laughter and Lord Sun in the Wolter Handicap, paid nearly double iigurcs on tho totalisator. Speardale Avon the Bank Holiday Handicap. The Tellers' Flying Handicap resulted: Maia, 3.10, I; Buzalong, S.ri (Shean) 2; Silver Standard, 8.10 (Munro), 3. Fourteen started. Half a length and one and a-half lengths, Time, 1.1SJ.
