NAPIER CLUB

The Napier Harriers h,eld an invitation pack run on Saturday from the residence of Mr D. Smith, Taradale. The trail taken by the runners was as follows: — Up Elbourne street and Harper street to the hills, over the hill for three miles to the Puketapu road, down Meeanee road to Guppy's road, then through Moller street and back along Elbourne street to the finish. , A run in of a mile and a-balf wa s held, the re urns being as follow: — Fast pack. — E. Strachan 1, F. Brock 2, L. Green 3. Slow pack. — W. Smith 1, R. Johnson 2, I. Eeading and L. Hatch (dead heat), 3. After the run the members were enlertained at- afternoon tea, for which Mr L. Hatch, club captain, offered thrfnks on behalf of the runners. Mrs D. Smith responded. Next Saturday the club will be holding' their championships from the Marewa camping grounds.
