HASTINGS HARRIERS
Road Relay on Saturday Under ideal weather ' conditions the Hastings Harrier Club held a road relay over a course of about two and ahalf miles, starting from Stortford Lodge. The course led down Pakowhai road, along Lyndhurst road to Nottingly road, up Nottingly road to Omahu road and back along Omahu road to Stortford Lodge. Four teams of five men ran the course, each man compicting one lap. The fastest time was clocked.by A. Robertson, who ran his iap in the good time of 11 minsf. 55 secs. The results were: — A. Ltd., for allowing tho club ihe use of the factory. THURSDAY DiyiSION f The Thursday division of tho c!nb held its wcekly run from the Showgrounds over a course of about slx ir.iles.' The trail went to the rear of Tomoana works "and then ied aeross counlry, • coming out by the popular avenue. From there it followed the roatl to the Pakowhai bridge, and after eiossing the bridge the river was followed until the railway bridge at Whakatu was reached. The river- was recrossed here, the trail then leading directly back to the showgrounds. A run-in over the last quarter of a injle resulted: — A. de Frere •••••••■ T t T. Manley .«•••••••• 2 B. Tucker •••••••••• 3 Next Thursday 's run is to be from rbo racecourse, when one lap of the cliampionship course is to be run. This run is to start at 2 p.m., and not at 2 30, as nsual.
