Y.M.C.A. & RANGERS WIN
Shortage of Players in Soccer Series Y.M.O.A. comfortably defeated Watersiders and 'Rangers narrowly defeated United in Saturday' s Soccer series at Nelson Park, Napier. The matohes were interesting to watbh, but would have been even more so had all the teams been represented by their full strength. It may be only a coincidence, but it happens rather often when the broadcast description of an outstanding Rugby match can be heard that soine of the Soocer players find it impossible or inoonvenient t-o turn up. Results: — - Y.M.O.A. (3) v. Watersiders (1).— Heath (2), and Mackie goaled for Y.M.O.A. and Galbraith for JYatersiders. — Mr R. Soott was the referee. Rangers (1) v. United (nil). — Tickner scored for Rangers, — Mr L. Wilson refereed. SOHOOL BOYS' MATCBES. Schoolboys' Soece rmatches in Napier resulted:— Junior. — Magpies (2) v. H.S.O.B. (nil). Fourth grade. — Intermediate (B) (nil) v Intermediate (O) (nil). Port Ahuriri (4) v Intermediate (O) (2). Fifth grade.-— Hastings Street (1) v. Nelson Park (nil). Central (2) v. Intermediate (F) (nil).
