An enjoyable dance arranged by Ihe supporters of the Te Aute, Omakere and Otane queen, Mis3 Mary McHardy (who was introduced by Mr A. McCormick,' chairman of the Central Hawke 'a Bay Rugby Sub-Union), was held in the Omakere Hall last week. Mr McOorinick, during the course of his speech, tohi the footballers that thoy themselves wer0 to beneflt from thn funds raised by the committoe. The MlKay brothers, of Hastings, providcd the musiq, which was thoroughly apnreciated. Several extras were also played and were well received. The interest taken in the Queen Carnival was evinced by the presence of many from considerable distances.
