WEDDING IN NELSON OF H.B. INTEREST
FROST— LEAN The wedding was solemnised recently by the Rev. James Hay, at the residence of the bridegroom's sister, Mrs J. Haase, Hawai street, Nelson, of Charles, youngest son of tbe late Mr and Mrs Thomas Frost, Wakapuaka, and Charlotte,. eldest daugjhter of Mr and Mrs O. Lean, of Pukahu, Hastings. The bride, who was given away by her cou^in, Mr Arthur Waterhouse, looked cbarming in a navy suit, navy velour hat, suede shoea and accessories and she carried a bouquet of deep eream roses and maidenhair fern with cream streamers. Mrs Roy Price, of Waimea West, attended. the bride as matron of honour, and looked very smart in a navy costume navy hat, shoes and gloves, and she' carried a bouquet of autumn tinted flowers. The duties of best man were ably carried out by Mr R. Price. The receptio'n was held at the Civic tearooms, where Mrs Haase received the guests. She wore a becoming navy ensemble. The tables were decorated with pale pink flowers, and after the bride cut the beautiful wedding cake the toasts were duly honoured. Among the guests were : — The bride' s mother, Mrs C. Lean, who wore a fur coat over a black tailored costume with black accessories ; Mrs A. Waterhouse, of Hira, cousin of the bride, wore a smartly tailored tweed coat, over a brown silk marocain frock ; Mrs H .Frost, of Rai Valley, brown ensemble; Mrs P. .Anderson, or Hira, smart tweed ensemble; Miss Ivy Jones, green costume. Others present were: Mrs Black, Rai Valley, Miss Frost, Rai Valley, Mrs S. Glover, Motueka, Miss Haase, and Miss Kenning, Nelson. Later, Mr and Mrs C. Frost left for their future home, "Pine Grove," Hira.
