A NOVEL PLANE
America's Latesf Aerial Development PHILADELPBXA, July 30. A successful demonstration was held before Governmental air experts of the so-called vertaplane which flew conventionally but was also able to' convert one wing in midair into a rotator enabling the machine to land like a gyro. Combining the advantages of both types it weighs 1700 pounds. At present it does not carry a payload and this remains one of the greatest problems in lts development.
