WEDDING

Stringer— Nicholl The wedding was solemnised at.the Hastings Methodist Church, on "Wednesday aft\rnoon, of Lorna Mavis, only daughter of'Mrs M. Nicoll and the' late Mr G. A. Nicoll,' of Have-, lock North, and George William Stringer, of Greymouth, son of Mr and M.rs G. W. Stringer, of Otago. The Bev. R. B. Gosnell officiated at the ceremony and Miss Napier presided at the organ. The church had been beautifully decorated by Mrs H. Bucking-' ham, an old friend of the bride with pink cainellias and dainty ' ©reenery. The bride, who was escorted by her uncf/e, Mr A. Masters, of Twyford, wore a charming gown of rich magnolia satin fashioned on classical liues. The bodice was shirred in a V shape and a true lover's knot of diamante was worn at the shoulder. The long full sleeves were shirred into fitting cufl's and the train was inset witli shirring at the waist. Her embroidered tulle veil which had been worn by her mother, was arranged with a wreather of orangie blossom and she carried a bouquet of white camellias, roses and ferns. Shell pink geo'rgette gowns, were worn by tlie bride's two cousins who attended her, Miss Leonie Masters and Miss Madge Pursen. Their gowns were cut alike with the corsage shirred into & narrow yolk and a spray of pink roses at the neck. The sleeves were puffed and the full skirt had shirred panels. A silver clasp linished the belt at the waist and each rnaid ivore a wreath of pink flowers and ailver rihbons, silver sandals and carried a bouquet of pink camellias and fern. Mrs C. Lasen, Mrs A. Masters, aunts of the bride. and Miss Jean Masters. Many beautiful wedding presents cheques were received among them bcing two handsomc vases presented to the bride by membcrs of the Methodist Church choir of which she had been a member of nine years. •
