STILL NO WHITEBAIT
Hastings Fishmongers Without Supplies A month has now passed since the opening of the present whitebait season, but Hastings fishmongers are still without supplies. "We have had no supplies of whitebait for several weeks," several dealers told the Herald-Tribune this morning. Seveu of the catchers at Clive who were communjcated with reported that the fish were comiug to hand in only negligible quantities. t The rivers are still dirty and a large amount of sediment is being carried down in the waters. The catchers are, therefore, still waiting for the rivers to clear before they hold any hopes of uiaking worth-while catches.
