Presbyterians' Annual Meeting

TAKAPAU, Last night. The annual meeting of the Takapau Presbyterian Church was held on Tuesday night in the supper rooin, when a i'uir attendance was presided over bjthe Rev. H. S, Scott, M.A. JReports were received from the Session, managers, Wfimen'a Guild, Sunday School, Bible Class and other orga'uisationg of the Church, whieh showed that the church was in a health} state although there was a laek oi Sunday Sehool teachers and attendance at Bible Class. ' The lollowing representatives were present from the H.B. Presbytery : Rev. J. H. Starnes and Mr PaviourSmith (Dannevirke), the Rev. W. R. Hutchison Waipukurau) and Mr R. Todd (Waipawa). The llevs. Starnes and Hutchison gave short and encouraging addresses to those present. it was statec] that the report from the Presbytery would come forward later. A very amusing and well-rendered playette was given by Mrs H. Scott, Misses F. McMillan. J. Keegan, J. Vesty and Mr E, Taylor, alter whicl) supper was served by ihe ladies of the congregation. 1
